Evaristus Emmanuel Bassey
Evaristus Emmanuel Bassey is the principal partner at Evaristus Bassey & Co. whose area of expertise is Property Law, Shipping and Maritime practice. His experience in Maritime and Admiralty Law comprises charter parties; bills of lading; arrest and attachment of vessels, cargo, bunkers and supplier claims, shipyard disputes, foreclosure of ship mortgages, preparation of transport agreements and general terms and conditions for international transactions and specialized trades.
Gbenga Ajala
Mr Gbenga Ajala obtained his law degree from the prestigious University of Lagos and has since been called to the Nigerian bar. He is a consultant to the firm . Gbenga has considerable exposure in Advocacy and practices in various aspects of Commercial Litigation, and specialises in Property Law, Information Technology, Intellectual Property and also has interests in Taxation and Insurance Law. He has participated in the provision of legal opinion on burning issues to several multinational companies. He is a Member of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK and a member of Nigerian Bar Association. He is currently a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) candidate at the University of Nigeria.
Uwani Niemogha
Uwani Niemogha is a co-founding partner at Evaristus Bassey & Co. She is an astute practitioner with vast experience in Legal practice across board. Her legal career began at the firm of Abayomi Disu & Co. where she specialized in Civil litigation, Company Secretarial, Compliance & regulatory related issues; where in addition to representing and obtaining judgements in favour of Clients in several property matters, she solely managed the portfolio of a group of Nigerian Companies majorly owned by a top ranking Company based in the USA. This was followed by appointment as legal manager at Simba group where she garnered experience in corporate administration including working closely with top management in decision making and implementation, managing the companies properties in 30 states of the Federation along with supervisory roles in 2 departments of several companies within the group. She is an alumna of the University of Lagos.
Concilia Obinugwu
Concilia Obinugwu obtained her law degree from Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom and has been called to the Nigeria bar since 2018. She joined the firm in 2021. Concilia has considerable in Advocacy and practices in various aspects of Litigation. She specialises in Law for surveyors, Election petition and Property Law, she also had interests in Public and Human rights Law. Concilia has participated in various legal campaigns bordering on fostering better and faster legal practices in Nigeria e.g SPIDEL and NBA Annual conference. She is member of the NBA and holds a masters degree in Real Estate from Nottingham Trent University. She is currently preparing to become a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) UK.
